Contemporary Clinical Trials Communications is unique in that it is outside the confines of disease specifications, and it strives to increase the transparency of medical research and reduce publication bias by publishing scientifically valid original research findings irrespective of their perceived importance, significance or impact. Both randomized and non-randomized trials are within the scope of the Journal. Some common topics include trial design rationale and methods, operational methodologies and challenges, and positive and negative trial results. In addition to original research, the Journal also welcomes other types of communications including, but are not limited to, methodology reviews, perspectives and discussions.

Through timely dissemination of advances in clinical trials, the goal of Contemporary Clinical Trials Communications is to serve as a platform to enhance the communication and collaboration within the global clinical trials community that ultimately advances this field of research for the benefit of patients.

Contemporary Educational Psychology publishes articles that involve the application of psychological theory and science to the educational process. Of particular relevance are descriptions of empirical research and the presentation of theory designed to either explicate or enhance the educational process. The journal places great value on the quality of research methodology. This includes the participant sample being representative of the intended population (and not just a sample of convenience), measures having demonstrated psychometric quality including both reliability and validity (avoiding, for example, excessive reliance on self-report measures), literature reviews that support the methods employed, and analyses that are both appropriate and accurately described. The journal publishes quantitative, qualitative, and single-subject design studies that involve the application of psychological science to an important educational process, issue, or problem.The journal does not limit its scope to any age range. Articles dealing with the education of preschoolers, K-12 children, adults, and the elderly are all relevant if they apply psychological theory and science to the process of education. Likewise, articles that make a substantial contribution to the understanding of individual differences in the process of learning are also appropriate. The journal does not focus on a particular educational setting. Articles applying psychological theory and research methods in school settings, industry, or other formal or informal settings involving adults or children are relevant, assuming they are judged in the review process to advance the science of education.Contemporary Educational Psychology features:•Original research articles covering both classroom and laboratory experiments as they emphasize problem solving•Theoretical contributions relating issues, comparisons, and analyses to the application of psychological methods and skills to the educational process•Instructional techniques reporting on instructional techniques when the use of adequate controls demonstrates the validity of the findings• Meta-analytic research reviews on selected educational topics reflecting implications for the field of educational psychology.

Continental Shelf Research publishes articles dealing with the physical oceanography, sedimentology, geology, chemistry, biology and ecology of the shallow marine environment, from coastal and estuarine water out to the shelf break. Papers that are published present results from both fundamental, original research as well as applied, or directed research.Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary process-oriented contributions, and encouragement is given to the publication of the results of innovative experimental studies with more general applicability.Continental Shelf Research publishes occasional review articles. It also includes a section on Notes, Instrumentation and Methods. Furthermore, papers are open for written discussion for up to three months following publication and both the discussion and the author's response are published.Continental Shelf Research also publishes special issues dedicated to results of large interdisciplinary studies or topical issues on specific subjects.Note to Authors: When considering submission of a manuscript to CSR, bear in mind that recent analyses show that published papers are downloaded by scientists from over 90 countries world-wide. This level of usage emphasizes the need for authors to present their research results in a broad context, to be of interest to this international community. Likewise, when suggesting the four reviewers for a manuscript, an international perspective of individual scientists (not necessarily affiliated with CSR) should be considered.

The journal offers rapid publication of review articles on topics of current interest and importance in coordination chemistry. The term coordination chemistry is interpreted broadly, and includes aspects of organometallic, theoretical and bioinorganic chemistry. Cor et Vasa, the journal of the Czech Society of Cardiology and Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, publishes 6 times a year and covers all aspects of cardiology, angiology, cardiovascular surgery, cardiovascular imaging, pediatric cardiology, hypertension, cardiovascular prevention and some aspects of interventional radiology. It features editorials, review articles and original research as well as preliminary, fast-track and special communications (clinical and experimental).In 2012, Cor et Vasa began to publish short (5000 words) summaries from the European Society of Cardiology guidelines, with each being prepared by leading Czech experts in the field.The regular Cor et Vasa supplement "Kardio" publishes book reviews, abstracts and reports from selected congresses , polls, discussions, polemics, comments, as well as information from the Czech Society of Cardiology, Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery and the European Society of Cardiology.
