The Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering was founded by the Systems Engineering Society of China in 1992. Published quarterly, this international journal addresses the theory, methodology, and applications underlying systems science and systems engineering. The mission of the journal is to foster new thinking and research to help decision-makers understand the mechanisms and complexity of economic, engineering, management, social, and technological systems. Moreover, the journal helps readers discover new developments in theory and practice that can improve the performance of systems.

This Journal is the official publication of the Indian Academy of Wood Science. It publishes on all aspects related to wood, cellulose and their products such as logging, saw milling, wood working, plywood, fibre boards, particle boards, improved and composite woods, cellulose and cellulose-based sciences and industries and allied fields generally classified as 'Wood Science'. It also includes biological sciences related to wood and wood products. The Journal aims to cover research on all aspects of Wood Science and allied fields relating to resource utilization of wood. In essence it relates to all aspects of utilization including processing, sales and marketing of wood, its products and other lignocellulosic materials both from forestry and agricultural origin. Further, the Journal aims to help and promote rational and scientific utilization of raw materials, avoiding of wastage in raw materials, development of standard products and standard techniques, evolution of uniform standardized processing methods, quality control methods, inspection methods and similar other scientific methods, applicable to the industries connected with wood and cellulose.

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (JTAC) is a fully peer-reviewed, highly cited journal that publishes good quality papers covering all aspects of thermal analysis, calorimetry, and experimental thermodynamics. Journal of Thermal Science publishes high-quality articles on experimental, numerical and theoretical investigations which give insight into the major areas of thermal and fluid sciences. It publishes contributions in the fields of fluid mechanics, aerothermodynamics of internal flow, heat and mass transfer, multiphase flow, turbulence modeling, combustion, engineering thermodynamics, thermophysical properties of matter, measurement and visualization techniques. The journal also includes technical papers concerning the application of fundamental knowledge to industrial processes and equipment, such as energy conversion and conservation, turbomachinery, heat transfer equipment, furnaces and boilers. The Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis is a long-awaited resource for contemporary cardiologists, hematologists, vascular medicine specialists and clinician-scientists actively involved in treatment decisions and clinical investigation of thrombotic disorders involving the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems. The events of 9/11 and beyond have compelled stakeholders to look at transport security as much more than merely another element of the global networks that move people and goods. An activity that was previously viewed as a routine component of modern transportation is now seen as both a vital necesity and a national priority. Across a wide spectrum, transportation security is playing a leading role in determining how both the present and future will look. Remarkably, no single clearinghouse of research and analysis on this important topic has arisen. The Journal of Ultrasound is the official journal of the Italian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (SIUMB). The journal publishes original contributions (research and review articles, case reports, technical reports and letters to the editor) on significant advances in clinical diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic applications, clinical techniques, the physics, engineering and technology of ultrasound in medicine and biology, and in cross-sectional diagnostic imaging. The journal also publishes news from the SIUMB, the conference agenda and updates on SIUMB activities. The official language of Journal of Ultrasound is English and the abstracts should be provided both in English and in Italian.

The Journal of Urban Health is a bimonthly peer-reviewed publication which focuses on the emerging fields of urban health and epidemiology. The Journal addresses health issues such as substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, HIV, tuberculosis, and violence from both clinical and policy perspectives, filling a neglected niche in medical and health literature. Visualization is an interdisciplinary imaging science devoted to making the invisible visible through the techniques of experimental visualization and computer-aided visualization. This official journal of the Visualization Society of Japan presents the latest visualization technology and its applications. It is published in full color in order to realize its mission of promoting a better understanding of complex phenomena. The journal consists of papers, such as short paper, review paper, regular paper, and report.

The Journal of Water Chemistry and Technology focuses on water and wastewater treatment, water pollution monitoring, water purification, and similar topics. It publishes the results of research covering a very broad range, including the structure of water and its fundamental properties; chemical, physicochemical and biological methods of water treatment; methods of water analysis; instrumentation for monitoring water quality; and automation and control of treatment processes and systems. Its main rubrics are theoretical principles of water conditioning and treatment technology; physical chemistry of water treatment processes; analysis of natural and wastewaters; water treatment and demineralization technology; and biological methods of water treatment. Many of the articles originate from the Institute of Colloid Chemistry and Water Chemistry (Ukrainian Academy of Sciences), which is well known for its contributions to the study of chemical and physicochemical water treatment processes.

Aims and scopeJournal of World Prehistory is an international forum for the publication of peer-reviewed, original treatments of the prehistory of an area or larger region. It was founded nearly thirty years ago with the remit of providing researchers, instructors and students with timely and authoritative research syntheses from all fields of archaeology. Journal of World Prehistory continues to lead in this field. Our classic articles may be 20,000 or 25,000 words long, as appropriate (excluding their extensive bibliographies). Since 2008 they have been joined by shorter (around 10,000 words), position pieces, which provide in-depth, thoughtful development of data and concepts, including interventions in controversies that unfold in our pages. These, written in a fashion interesting and accessible to all archaeologists, are often paired with a longer treatment in a single volume. In addition, readers now benefit from thematic special issues and double issues, in which a number of leading authors deal with a key theme in world prehistory, such as the origins of metallurgy (2009, volumes 22: 3 and 4), or the East Asian Neolithic (2013, in preparation). All papers are available first online, followed by the print edition. We aim to be truly global in coverage, with recent articles dealing, inter alia, with Amazonian lithics, the late Jomon of Hokkaido, the Bronze Age in Southeast Asia, the Neanderthal settlement of Doggerland, Neolithic networks in Western Asia, younger Dryas Paleo-Indian adaptations, and state formation in the Horn of Africa. Journal of Youth and Adolescence provides a single, high-level medium of communication for psychologists, psychiatrists, biologists, criminologists, educators, and professionals in many other allied disciplines who address the subject of youth and adolescence. The journal publishes papers based on experimental evidence and data, theoretical papers, and comprehensive review articles. The journal especially welcomes empirically rigorous papers that take policy implications seriously. Research need not have been designed to address policy needs, but manuscripts must address implications for the manner society formally (e.g., through laws, policies or regulations) or informally (e.g., through parents, peers, and social institutions) responds to the period of youth and adolescence.
