Russian Journal of Coordination Chemistry (Koordinatsionnaya Khimiya) was founded in 1975 and is now one of the most prominent chemical journals in Russia. It presents reviews, original papers, and communications on all aspects of theoretical and experimental coordination chemistry. Modern coordination chemistry occupies a special interdisciplinary position in the chemical sciences, being at the junction of various fields and serving as a bridge between the inorganic, organic, physical, analytical, and biological branches of chemistry. The Russian Journal of Developmental Biology was founded in 1970 by the outstanding Russian biologist Boris L. Astaurov. The journal has made an important contribution to the development of embryology in the former Soviet Union. The journal publishes reviews and experimental papers by Russian and foreign authors dealing with various aspects of developmental biology. It presents fundamental and applied research on development, regeneration, and carcinogenesis at the molecular, cellular, and organismic levels. It also publishes papers on events in science and the history of developmental biology in Russia.

The main aim of the Russian Journal of Non-Ferrous Metals is to achieve a new knowledge in such topics as extraction metallurgy, hydro- and piro- metallurgy, casting, plastic deformation, metallography and heat treatment, powder metallurgy and composites, self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, surface engineering and advanced protected coatings, environments and energy capacity in non-ferrous metallurgy. Coverage includes both theoretical and applied articles. All major nonferrous metals and alloys are treated, and the emphasis throughout is on the development and improvement of cost effective, environmentally safe methods of nonferrous metals production. The journal publishes articles originating from universities, research institutions, Russian Academy of Sciences institutes and industrial research laboratories.

The Journal publishes original and review papers relevant to all aspects of chemical physics. Elementary chemical and physical processes on the molecular level are considered. The dynamics of reactions in gaseous, solid, and liquid phases and on interfaces, including the effect of various impacts - electromagnetic field, radiation, mechanical and thermal factors – is widely discussed. Particular attention is paid to combustion, ignition, and detonation phenomena in gases, two-phase media, and solids, to energy transfer processes in reacting media, and to fluid dynamics of reacting media. Shock wave studies are also covered including phenomena on the molecular and meso-levels. Among the other topics the Journal deals with kinetics of biochemical radical reactions, behavior of nanoparticles and materials exhibiting peculiar electromagnetic properties, kinetics of phase transitions, new experimental methods, atmospheric chemistry, and kinetics of polymer synthesis and destruction.

Russian Linguistics is an international forum for all scholars working in the field of Slavic linguistics (Russian and other Slavic languages) and its manifold diversity, ranging from phonetics and phonology to syntax and the linguistic analysis of texts (text grammar), including both diachronic and synchronic problems. Besides original articles and reviews, Russian Linguistics publishes surveys of current scholarly writings from other periodicals. Topics that fall within the scope of the journal include: Traditional-structuralist as well as generative-transformational and other modern approaches to questions of synchronic and diachronic grammar: Phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, pragmatics and semantics of Russian and other Slavic languages (synchronic and diachronic): Philological problems of Russian / Old-Russian texts as well as texts in other Slavic languages: Grammar of Russian and other Slavic languages in their relation to linguistic universals: History of Russian and other Slavic literary languages: Slavic dialectology.

Founded in 1957 by the Ministry of Higher and Special Secondary Education of the USSR and by Kazan State University, the journal encompasses the most significant research in both pure and applied mathematics, which is carried out by scientists of Russian universities, institutions of higher education, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The articles of well-known mathematicians from the C.I.S. and other countries are also published. Some issues have a thematic character, but they are of general interest.

Russian Physics Journal, a translation of Izvestiya vuz. Fizika, covers the broad spectrum of specialized research in applied physics, placing emphasis on work with practical applications in solid-state physics, optics, and magnetism. Particularly interesting results are reported in connection with: electroluminescence and crystal phospors; semiconductors; phase transformations in solids; superconductivity; properties of thin films; and magnetomechanical phenomena. Russian Physics Journal is a translation of the peer-reviewed Russian journal Izvestiya vuz. Fizika.
