Sleep and Biological Rhythms is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Sleep Research, and publishes original research articles dealing with sleep and wakefulness, including biological rhythms. Papers in basic science, medicine and social science relating to sleep and/or biological rhythms will be considered for publication. Both members and non-members of the Japanese Society of Sleep Research are welcome to submit papers to the journal.

Sleep and Breathing reflects the international state of the science and practice of sleep medicine. The journal is founded on the recognition that management of sleep disorders requires a multi-disciplinary approach and diverse perspectives. Sleep and Breathing presents timely and original peer-reviewed studies on the management of the upper airway during sleep. The journal presents cutting edge information on common sleep disorders and disruptions, including insomnia and shift work. Coverage includes patient studies, and studies that emphasize the principles of physiology and pathophysiology or illustrate novel approaches to diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the journal features articles describing patient-oriented and cost-benefit health outcomes research. It is dedicated to making the most important developments in sleep disordered breathing easily accessible to all who treat sleep apnea, presenting well-chosen, well-written, and highly organized information that is useful in patient care.

Entrepreneurship is increasingly important as a scholarly field. Small Business Economics provides an invaluable forum for research and scholarship focusing on the role of entrepreneurship and small business. The journal has a broad scope and focuses on multiple dimensions of entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurs' characteristics, new ventures and innovation, firms' life cycles; as well as the role played by institutions and public policies within local, regional, national and international contexts. Emerging from discussions within the Small-scale Forestry group of The International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), Small-scale Forestry was founded in 2002 as Small-scale Forest Economics, Management and Policy. Its aim is to provide an international forum for publishing high quality, peer-reviewed papers on pure and applied research into small-scale forestry. The journal presents empirical, theoretical, modeling, and methodological papers. The range of topics extends from the role of small-scale forestry in rural development, to financial modeling and decision support systems, to wood harvesting and processing and beyond. The result is a thorough examination of the social, economic and technical dimensions of farm, family, non-industrial and community forestry. Of particular interest to the global research community, Small-scale Forestry is also useful to both policy makers and forest managers.

Social Choice and Welfare explores all aspects, both normative and positive, of welfare economics, collective choice, and strategic interaction. Topics include but are not limited to: preference aggregation, welfare criteria, fairness, justice and equity, rights, inequality and poverty measurement, voting and elections, political games, coalition formation, public goods, mechanism design, networks, matching, optimal taxation, cost-benefit analysis, and experimental investigations related to social choice and voting. As such, the journal is inter-disciplinary and cuts across the boundaries of economics, political science, philosophy, and mathematics. Articles on choice and order theory that include results that can be applied to the above topics are also included in the journal. While it emphasizes theory, the journal also publishes empirical work in the subject area reflecting cross-fertilizing between theoretical and empirical research. Founded in 1974, Social Indicators Research has become a leading journal for the publication of research results dealing with measurement of the quality of life. Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology is intended to provide a medium for the prompt publication of scientific contributions concerned with all aspects of the epidemiology of psychiatric disorders - social, biological and genetic.
In addition, the journal has a particular focus on the effects of social conditions upon behaviour and the relationship between psychiatric disorders and the social environment. Contributions may be of a clinical nature provided they relate to social issues, or they may deal with specialised investigations in the fields of social psychology, sociology, anthropology, epidemiology, health service research, health economies or public mental health. We will publish papers on cross-cultural and trans-cultural themes. We do not publish case studies or small case series. While we will publish studies of reliability and validity of new instruments of interest to our readership, we will not publish articles reporting on the performance of established instruments in translation.

Social Psychology of Education draws from the disciplines of psychology, sociology, and education in order to help us better understand human behavior in education. The journal fills a gap in the literature by covering a wide variety of content concerns (e.g., classroom instruction, student cultures and interactions), theoretical interests (e.g., group dynamics, social learning theory), and research methods (e.g., comparative research, literature reviews, panel studies). The Software Quality Journal promotes awareness of the crucial role of quality management in the effective construction of the software systems developed, used and maintained by organizations in pursuit of their business objectives. Software and System Modeling (SoSyM) is a quarterly international journal that focuses on theoretical and practical issues in the development and application of software and system modeling languages, techniques, and methods, such as the Unified Modeling Language.
