ONLY INVITED AUTHORS CAN PUBLISH IN THIS E-BOOK!

The aim of this Series is to highlight the latest international findings and advances in plant pathology and plant disease management, and plant pathology topic specialist, Congress and Workshop organisers, coordinators of broad International projects are invited to consult with the Series Editor regarding their topic’s potential inclusion in the series. 

Under an agreement with Springer, a Book Series based on the invited lectures at the 9th International Congress of Plant Pathology ICPP2008, Plant Pathology in the 21^st Century was initiated and four books covering key themes were published. Following on the procedure for the 2008 Congress, three additional volumes in the series were published on themes which were key topics at ICPP2013, held in Beijing, China, while two new books are almost ready from ICPP 2018 held in Boston (SA). Moreover, more books were published in between Congresses, covering up-to-date topics in plant pathology. In light of the initial seven volumes’ success, the ISPP has now concluded an agreement with Springer to broaden the scope of the Series and publish additional volumes.

The goal of the International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP; www.isppweb.org) is to promote the global advancement of plant pathology and the dissemination of essential information on plant diseases and plant health management. This book Series looks of particular interest due to the upcoming International Year of Plant Health (2020).

Plant Reproduction (known as Sexual Plant Reproduction until the end of 2012) is a journal devoted to publishing high-quality research in the field of reproductive processes in plants. Article formats include original research papers, expert reviews, methods reports and opinion papers. Articles are selected based on significance for the field of plant reproduction, spanning from the induction of flowering to fruit development. Plant Systematics and Evolution is an international journal dedicated to publication of original papers and reviews on plant systematics in the broadest sense. The journal aims to bridge the specific subject areas in plant systematics and evolution, encompassing evolutionary, phylogenetic and biogeographical studies at the populational, specific and higher taxonomic levels. Taxonomic emphasis is on green plants.
Fields of interest: plant systematics, plant evolution, biodiversity, phytochemistry, ultrastructure, cytology, anatomy, palynology, plant development, genetics, reproductive biology, ecology, biogeography, palaeobotany, population genetics.
Plant Systematics and Evolution publishes original articles, review articles, short communications and contributions on controversial topics. The journal does not levy page charges and provides free color in print.

Plant and Soil publishes original papers and review articles exploring the interface of plant biology and soil sciences, and offering a clear mechanistic component. This includes both fundamental and applied aspects of mineral nutrition, plant-water relations, symbiotic and pathogenic plant-microbe interactions, root anatomy and morphology, soil biology, ecology, agrochemistry and agrophysics. Articles discussing a major molecular or mathematical component also fall within the scope of the journal. All contributions appear in the English language. Plant and Soil is published under the auspices of the Royal Netherlands Society of Agricultural Science. The Editor-in-Chief is Hans Lambers, University of Western Australia, Crawley, Australia.

Planta publishes timely and substantial articles on all aspects of plant biology.
We welcome original research papers on any plant species. Areas of interest include biochemistry, bioenergy, biotechnology, cell biology, development, ecological and environmental physiology, growth, metabolism, morphogenesis, molecular biology, physiology, plant-microbe interactions, structural biology, and systems biology.
Review articles summarize recent advances in topical areas of plant biology; while the section on Emerging Technologies describes the development of new methods with the potential to advance one or more areas of plant biology.Accepted articles are published online within 2-3 weeks.

Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing is an international journal that provides a forum for the publication of original papers on fundamental research and new developments in plasma chemistry and plasma processing. The journal encompasses all types of industrial processing plasmas, ranging from nonthermal plasmas to thermal plasmas, and publishes fundamental plasma studies as well as studies of specific plasma applications. Application contexts of interest include plasma etching in microelectronics and other fields, deposition of thin films and coatings, powder synthesis, environmental processing, lighting, surface modification and others. Includes studies of chemical kinetics in plasmas, and the interactions of plasmas with surfaces.

Plasma Physics Reports (Fizika Plasmy) was founded in 1975 in order to publish papers on a comparatively young and extremely fruitful branch of modern science - plasma physics. The journal covers the following topics: high-temperature plasma physics related to the problem of controlled nuclear fusion based on magnetic and inertial confinement; physics of cosmic plasma, including magnetosphere plasma, sun and stellar plasma, etc.; gas discharge plasma and plasma generated by laser and particle beams. The journal also publishes papers on such related topics as plasma electronics, generation of radiation in plasma, and plasma diagnostics. As well as other original communications, the journal publishes topical reviews and conference proceedings.

Plasmonics publishes peer-reviewed articles that both advance and report on the knowledge and practice of the interactions of free-metal electrons, Plasmons. Coverage includes theory, physics, and applications of surface plasmons in metals, and rapidly emerging areas of nanotechnology, biophotonics, sensing, biochemistry and medicine. The journal covers the theory, synthesis and optical properties of noble metal nanostructures, patterned surfaces, continuous or grated surfaces and devices. Applications include surface-enhanced spectroscopic properties, such as Raman scattering or fluorescence, as well developments in techniques such as surface plasmon resonance and near-field scanning optical microscopy. Papers describe new plasmonic based devices, new synthetic procedures for the preparation of nanostructures and their optical properties, as well their applications in analytical sensing. Polar Biology publishes Original Papers, Reviews, and Short Notes and is the focal point for biologists working in polar regions. It is also of interest to scientists working in biology in general, ecology and physiology, as well as in oceanography and climatology related to polar life. With an interdisciplinary and international focus, Policy Sciences encourages a diversity of perspectives. The editors especially welcome conceptual and empirical innovation, together with the potential richness and insight of comparative orientation. The journal offers articles that examine the normative aspects of policy sciences; conceptual articles addressing concrete policy issues; articles on particularly controversial pieces of analysis; opposing perspectives, including critiques and rejoinders on articles already published, which open the journal to an exchange of views rather than restricting it to pure presentation; and special issues that analyze specific topics in depth.
