Journal of Mathematical Biology

ISSN: 0303-6812eISSN: 1432-1416

The Journal of Mathematical Biology focuses on mathematical biology - work that uses mathematical approaches to gain biological understanding or explain biological phenomena.Papers should either provide biological insight as a result of mathematical analysis or identify and open up challenging new types of mathematical problems that derive from biological knowledge (in the form of data, or theory, or simulation results). Mathematical ideas, methods, techniques and results are welcome, provided they show sufficient potential for usefulness in a biological context. Authors are encouraged to include a brief summarising discussion of the main results to make them accessible to readers with biology background.Areas of biology covered include, but are not restricted to, cell biology, physiology, development, neurobiology, genetics and population genetics, population biology, ecology, behavioural biology, evolution, epidemiology, immunology, molecular biology, biofluids, DNA and protein structure and function. Journal of Molecular Evolution

ISSN: 0022-2844eISSN: 1432-1432

Journal of Molecular Evolution covers experimental and theoretical work aimed at deciphering features of molecular evolution and the processes bearing on these features, from the initial formation of macromolecular systems onward. Topics addressed include the evolution of informational macromolecules and their relation to more complex levels of biological organization, up to populations and taxa. This coverage accommodates such subfields as comparative structural and functional genomics, population genetics, the molecular evolution of development, the evolution of gene regulation and gene interaction networks, and in vitro evolution of DNA and RNA.

Journal of Molluscan Studies

ISSN: 0260-1230eISSN: 1464-3766

The Journal of Molluscan Studies accepts papers on all aspects of the study of molluscs. These include systematics, molecular biology, palaeontology, ecology, physiology and many other areas, as will be seen from a glance through recent Contents lists. Where the topic is some aspect of applied malacology (for example fisheries, parasitology, neurobiology, biochemistry, biomedical studies etc), papers will still be considered as long as the mollusc is the principal focus of the study, and not incidental or simply a convenient experimental animal. While systematic papers are encouraged, descriptions of single new taxa will only be considered if they include significant ‘added value’, for example in the form of new information on anatomy or distribution, or if they are presented in the context of a systematic revision or phylogenetic analysis of the group. Papers in the format of Research Notes are generally methodological notes, or brief reports that are of unusually wide interest or importance; these are published as rapidly as possible after acceptance. Review papers on topics of general interest are also accepted. .

Journal of Morphology

ISSN: 0362-2525eISSN: 1097-4687

Aims and Scope From the Editor: With the advent of a wide range of diagnostic tools and the recently undreamed of research avenues now available to morphologists. we are experiencing a world-wide explosion of interest and activity in the field of morphological science. Indeed. we firmly believe we have once again entered into a GOLDEN AGE OF MORPHOLOGY! This explosion of activity extends across the entire range of zoology. Invertebrate morphology partners equally with vertebrate morphology in this golden time. and theJournal of Morphologyis excited to be a part of this. As members of this worldwide community of morphologists. you can be assured that. following the dictum 'Present the Science.' we will help you to present your most important. most lasting work in depth and in detail in theJournal of Morphology. Aims and Scope: TheJournal of Morphologywelcomes articles of original research in cytology. protozoology. embryology. and general morphology. Articles generally should not exceed thirty-two printed pages. Preliminary notices or articles of a purely taxonomic or ecological nature are not included. No paper which has already appeared will be accepted nor will simultaneous publications elsewhere be allowed. How to cite:To make sure that references to this journal are correctly recorded and resolved (for example in CrossRef or ISI Web of Science). please use the following abbreviated title in any citations: 'J Morphol.' Punctuation may vary according to the style of the citing journal.

Journal of Natural History

ISSN: 0022-2933eISSN: 1464-5262

Journal of Natural History is included in the Special Libraries Association (SLA) 100 most influential journals in biology and medicine over the past 100 years, voted by members of the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division. Journal of Natural History is an international journal publishing original research and reviews in evolutionary and general biology, and on the interaction of organisms with their environment. While maintaining a tradition of featuring classical taxonomic work in entomology and zoology and thereby providing a scientific basis for the application of systematics in biological control, agriculture, aquaculture, and medical and veterinary zoology, the journal also publishes papers on cladistics, experimental taxonomy, parasitology, ecology and behaviour. Papers which simply describe a single new species are not normally acceptable without additional justification. Readership Systematists, behaviorists, ecologists, entomologists, parasitologists, agriculturalists, aquaculturalists, marine biologists, evolutionary biologists, geneticists, conservationists, environmental scientists. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications.
