Dementia is an international peer reviewed journal that acts as a major forum for social research of direct relevance to improving the quality of life and quality of care for people with dementia and their families. For the first time an international research journal is available for academics and practitioners that has as its primary paradigm the lived experience of dementia.

Der Islam was founded in 1910 by Carl Heinrich Becker, whose scholarly career was devoted to the establishment of Islamic Studies as a mature scientific field dedicated to historical and cultural research, independent of the then-prevailing field of Oriental philology. The journal he established seeks to pursue similar goals by providing a critical scientific forum for the presentation of research pertaining to the history and culture of the Islamic world in both pre-modern and modern times. Der Islam encourages the exchange of ideas from all scholarly perspectives and is not committed to any particular methodological or ideological viewpoint. Papers will be accepted in German, English, and French.

The first American academic journal to examine design history, theory, and criticism, Design Issues provokes inquiry into the cultural and intellectual issues surrounding design. Regular features include theoretical and critical articles by professional and scholarly contributors, extensive book reviews, and visual sequences. Special guest-edited issues concentrate on particular themes, such as design history, human-computer interface, service design, organization design, design for development, and product design methodology. Vorrangig erscheinen Arbeiten, die aktiv in die moderne internationale philosophische Diskussion eingreifen und neue Denkansa¨tze fu¨r sie liefern. Neben Fachaufsa¨tzen und Essays, Interviews und Symposien publiziert die Zeitschrift Funde aus philosophischen Archiven, Diskussionen sowie Buchkritiken. Deutsche Zeitschrift fu¨r Philosophie promotes the open dialog and communication between philosophers of differing schools of thought and different philosophical cultures. As a forum for the philosophical discourse, the journal owes no allegiance to particular schools or trends. Specialized essays, interviews and symposia as well as discussions, archive material and reviews round off the scope of this journal. This journal is a translation of papers from the Transactions of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of Japan, the foremost Japanese publication in the field. Published in three parts (Part I-Communications; Part II-Electronics; Part III-Fundamentals of Electronic Science), the journal covers the entire field of electronic engineering, including circuits and networks; signal and image processing; communication theory and systems; electromagnetic theory; switching, optical, microwave and millimeter-wave technology; quantum electronics; semiconductor technology and integrated circuits; artificial intelligence; and applied mathematics.

For over thirty years, diacritics has been an exceptional and influential forum for scholars writing on the problems of literary criticism. Each issue features articles in which contributors compare and analyze books on particular theoretical works and develop their own positions on the theses, methods, and theoretical implications of those works.

Dialectica publishes first-rate articles predominantly in theoretical and systematic philosophy. It is edited in Switzerland and has a focus on analytical philosophy undertaken on the continent. Continuing the work of its founding members, dialectica seeks a better understanding of the mutual support between science and philosophy that both disciplines need and enjoy in their common search for understanding. Dialectica practices double-blind refereeing, and follows the Guidelines for the Handling of Manuscripts by the Editors of Philosophy Journals of the Association of Philosophy Journal Editors. Authors are encouraged to submit short articles and discussion notes to the Notes and Discussions section, in particular of articles published in dialectica.

Dialectical Anthropology is an international journal that seeks to invigorate discussion among left intellectuals by publishing peer-reviewed articles, editorials, letters, reports from the field, political exchanges, and book reviews that foster open debate through criticism, research and commentary from across the social sciences and humanities. We provide a forum for work with a pronounced dialectical approach to social theory and political practice for scholars and activists working in Marxist and broadly political-economic traditions, and those who wish to be in dialogue or debate with these traditions. Since 1975, Dialectical Anthropology has been dedicated to the transformation of class society through internationalizing conversations about the stakes of contemporary crises and the means for social change. Our format is shaped by these goals. Following peer review, accepted manuscripts are sent to select scholars and activists whose comments are published with the article and a reply by the manuscript author. These exchanges aim to provide space for comment, criticism, agreement, and disagreement, about significant issues of our time, from a broad range of perspectives. We also publish timely reports from the field by scholars, activists, and informants. Our 'Dialectical Forum' is dedicated to back-and-forth discussion among scholars and activists. Finally, our book review section rejects the traditional 1000 word format in favour of substantial essays that analyse several books or other significant texts in a dialectical way and contextualize them within contemporary politics, economics, society and culture. We invite contributions from authors interested in raising the level of political engagement internationally and across disciplinary divides and welcome participation by scholars, activists, and commentators from all perspectives seeking discussion about the union of theory and practice towards significant s, ocial change. Dialectical Anthropology is committed to reaching beyond an Anglophone readership and encourages submissions, dialogue and active participation in languages other than English. The journal will publish these submissions to the extent that its resources and capabilities allow.
