Marine Georesources and Geotechnology

ISSN: 1064-119XeISSN: 1521-0618

Marine Georesources & Geotechnology publishes research applied to the scientific and engineering aspects, and the management and utilization, of seafloor sediments and rocks. The journal is intended for researchers and engineers, in both academia and industry, who seek solutions to problems in marine mineral resources and civil engineering. Areas covered range from marine minerals exploration and recovery to anchoring and mooring systems, bottom installations, and coastal engineering structures. The journal includes the study of acoustical, biological, chemical, mechanical, and physical properties affecting the geological system of the seafloor and response of this system to applied static and dynamic loads. Special emphasis is placed on the environmental aspects of seafloor exploration and development. The journal accepts contributions on topics such as shipboard mining systems, seafloor lodes, nodules, phosphates, crusts and placers, pipelines, platforms, and processing and transportation, as well as analytic techniques related to marine mining. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Marine Pollution Bulletin

ISSN: 0025-326XeISSN: 1879-3363

Marine Pollution Bulletin is concerned with the rational use of maritime and marine resources in estuaries, the seas and oceans, as well as with documenting marine pollution and introducing new forms of measurement and analysis. A wide range of topics are discussed as news, comment, reviews and research reports, not only on effluent disposal and pollution control, but also on the management, economic aspects and protection of the marine environment in general.A distinctive feature of Marine Pollution Bulletin is the number of different categories of articles which are published. Papers ('Reports') form the core of the journal, while 'Baselines' document measurements which are expected to have value in the future. 'Reviews' are generally invited by the editors on subjects which cross traditional lines, but suggestions for topics are welcomed. 'Viewpoints' are a less formal forum for scientists to comment freely on matters of relevant national and international importance. Other sections of the Bulletin include 'News', 'New Products', 'Conference Reports', 'Conference Diary', 'Correspondence' and 'Book Reviews'. Two volumes are published annually, one of which contains a series of special issues on topics of particular current interest. The importance and influence of these special issues, which address the major marine environmental concerns of our time, is increasingly being recognised not just by the wider scientific community, but also by environmental policy makers at national and international level.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Marine and Freshwater Behaviour and Physiology

ISSN: 1023-6244eISSN: 1029-0362

Marine and Freshwater Behaviour and Physiology is devoted to the publication of papers on research into the behaviour and physiology of marine and freshwater animals. It covers field and laboratory studies of the behaviour and physiology of aquatic animals including * excretion * osmoregulation * digestion * respiration * feeding * migration * reproduction * tidal and biorhythms * neurobiology * movement * sensory biology * anatomy and fine structure (where embedded in a physiological context) The behaviour of aquatic animals, both natural and simulated in the laboratory, also fall within the ambit of the journal. Short reviews will be published and occasional book reviews. The living resources of the world's oceans, rivers and lakes are attracting increasing attention as food sources for humans and for their role in global ecology. The journal will therefore publish the results of research in the areas of Fisheries Biology, Fisheries Technology, Fisheries Oceanography, Fisheries Economics and Management, Fisheries Engineering or Seafood Science and Technology where these have clear links to behaviour and physiology. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications.
