The Journal of Biorheology, the official journal of the Japanese Society of Biorheology, is an international journal covering the science and application of the deformation and flow properties of biological materials, including food materials. The aim of the journal is to provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of original papers and authoritative review papers dealing with the dynamics of physiological processes at all levels of organization, from organs to the molecular level. The scope of the journal covers the basic science and its applications in the broad field of biorheology: the rheology of macromolecules, cell rheology, tissue and organ rheology, and food rheology. The Journal of Biorheology accepts original articles, brief communications, and review articles. The editors encourage the submission of biorheological analysis of pathological processes and their clinical implications, including basic clinical research on hemodynamics and hemorheology. Also highly welcome are translational clinical studies and scientific research between the fields of engineering and medicine.

Journal of Building Physics (J. Bldg. Journal of Catalysis is the premier scholarly publication in the field of catalysis and an indispensable source of information for chemists and chemical engineers in both industrial and academic fields. The Journal of Cellular Automata publishes high-quality papers where cellular automata are studied theoretically or used as computational models of mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, social and engineering systems.A few examples are given in the list below, which is but a small sample of the areas of interest explored by this journal: Structure formation, heat conduction, self-reproduction, language recognition, evolutionary games, image processing, cryptography, random number generation, computational universality, traffic dynamics, neural networks, alternative discrete-physics models, population dynamics etc.Full length original papers, short communications, reviews and tutorial articles are welcome.

Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology(JCTB) is an international, inter-disciplinary peer-reviewed journal concerned with the application of scientific discoveries and advancements in chemical and biological technology that aim towards economically and environmentally sustainable industrial processes. Areas relevant to the scope of the journal include: Environmental and Sustainable Technology.

The Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data (JCED) publishes data on phase behavior and physical, thermodynamic, and transport properties obtained from both experiment and computation, which are viewed as complementary. JCED encourages manuscripts that report on consequential (relevant, comprehensive, and robust) data and place these data into context by addressing what can be learned from differences and similarities to prior published data on related systems. 

Examples of topics that are in-scope:

• New measurements of thermophysical/thermochemical properties for chemical systems whose compositions are known.
• New experimental phase equilibrium data (e.g., vapor-liquid, supercritical fluid, liquid-liquid, solid-solid, solid-liquid, solid-vapor, solid-supercritical fluid, and gas hydrate equilibrium).
• Thermophysical/thermochemical properties and phase equilibrium data obtained from quantum chemistry, molecular simulation, and molecular mechanics calculations.
• Comprehensive Reviews of experimental or computational techniques for thermophysical/thermochemical properties and phase equilibria and thought-provoking Perspectives on topics of current interest to the thermophysical properties research community.

Examples of topics that are NOT in-scope:

• Phase equilibrium or thermophysical/thermochemical properties of mixtures whose compositions are NOT known. Many environmental and biological samples fit in this category.
• Reaction kinetics and catalysis.
• Applications that do not measure or calculate the fundamental thermophysical properties or phase equilibria (e.g., permeabilities through membranes without measurement or calculation of solubilities and diffusivities).
• Computational approaches (including machine learning) that predict data via a correlation of molecular or other macroscopic properties.
• Materials synthesis and characterization where the phase equilibrium and/or thermophysical properties are not the main focus of the paper.

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers is published eight times a year, and covers a wide scope, ranging from mathematical foundations to practical engineering design in the general areas of circuits, systems, and computers. Although primary emphasis will be on research papers, survey, expository and tutorial papers are also welcome. The journal consists of two sections: *Papers - Contributions in this section may be of a research or tutorial nature. Research papers must be original and must not duplicate descriptions or derivations available elsewhere. The author should limit paper length whenever this can be done without impairing quality. *Letters - This section provides a vehicle for speedy publication of new results and information of current interest in circuits, systems, and computers. Focus will be directed to practical design- and applications-oriented contributions, but publication in this section will not be restricted to this material. These letters are to concentrate on reporting the results obtained, their significance and the conclusions, while including only the minimum of supporting details required to understand the contribution. Publication of a manuscript in this manner does not preclude a later publication with a fully developed version.

The Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring (JCSHM) publishes articles to advance the understanding and the application of health monitoring methods for the condition assessment and management of the civil infrastructure systems.JCSHM serves as a focal point for international sharing of knowledge and experience in technologies impacting the discipline of Civionics and Civil Structural Health Monitoring, especially in terms of load capacity ratings and service life estimation.Original articles to further the state-of-the-art in diagnostics, and prognostics for civil infrastructure systems including highways, bridges, buildings, airports, seaports, railroads, water resources systems, oil and gas pipelines, and others are welcomed.There is an important role for papers that address the application (successful or from a lesson learned aspect) of principles. This is of course the key facet of engineering as opposed to basic science - engineers take ideas and develop them into applications and use in the field.It shall be noted that the quality of the journal is based on peer review.
