Media and technologies are interpreted in the broadest sense, to encompass digital broadcasting, the internet and online resources, and other new and emerging formats, as well as the traditional media of print, broadcast television and radio.We invite submissions which build on contemporary debates such as:How new learning opportunities are facilitated through learners engagement in the production of media and in authoring processes previously only available to professionals.How educational practices in local, national and global contexts are being transformed by technical developments and innovative practices such as converging media or new ways of working with technology.The implications for formal education of the increasingly widespread use of media and technology in homes and communities.How Web 2.0 developments are supporting learning and/or teaching in a range of contexts.How individuals and communities are personalising their engagement with media, technology and others.How media and technologies are changing views of knowledge, learning and pedagogy, and raising questions about authorship and ownership. The Editors encourage critical and comparative analyses including paradigms and methodologies that cross disciplinary and cultural boundaries. We are open to a range of submission types such as literature reviews, policy critiques and empirical studies. Contributions are welcome from a wide range of educators and practitioners, including academics, students, teacher educators, policy makers, media professionals, librarians and teachers from all sectors. Lighting Research & Technology is the leading international peer reviewed journal that publishes the highest quality original research on the subject of light and lighting and is published in association with The Society of Light and Lighting, which is part of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.Lighting Research & Technology publishes papers by authors from around the world on all aspects of the subject of light and lighting. These range from the human response to light to all aspects of the science of light generation, light control and measurement. It also covers all aspects of lighting design including equipment for both interior and exterior environments, as well as daylighting, energy efficiency and sustainability.The journal is published quarterly with around 20 papers published each year. All papers are peer reviewed and usually include a discussion contribution with a reply from the author.The journal has been published continuously for almost forty years. It is recommended by the CIE, International Commission on Illumination, and has recently been accepted for inclusion into the ISI Science Certification Index Expanded. Limnology and Oceanography: Methods (ISSN 1541-5856) is a companion to ASLO's top-rated journal Limnology and Oceanography, and articles are held to the same high standards. In order to provide the most rapid publication consistent with high standards, Limnology and Oceanography: Methods appears in electronic format only, and the entire submission and review system is online. Articles are posted as soon as they are accepted and formatted for publication.Limnology and Oceanography: Methods will consider manuscripts whose primary focus is methodological, and that deal with problems in the aquatic sciences. Manuscripts may present new measurement equipment, techniques for analyzing observations or samples, methods for understanding and interpreting information, analyses of metadata to examine the effectiveness of approaches, invited and contributed reviews and syntheses, and techniques for communicating and teaching in the aquatic sciences. Exciting features include author updates to their published methods, and both formal and informal discussion of methods described in the journal.

Lubricants (ISSN 2075-4442) publishes regular research papers, reviews, letters and communications covering all aspects of tribology, including the study and application of the principles of friction, lubrication and wear. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish experimental, theoretical and computational results that provide new insight and understanding into the scientific and technical basis for lubrication and related phenomenon. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, three unique features of this Journal: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas are welcome; Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material; Manuscripts concerning summaries and surveys on research cooperation and projects (that are founded by national governments) to give information for a broad field of users.

The Journal is designed to meet the information requirements of lubricant professionals whose primary concern is the design, formulation, and performance of lubricants and their additives in tribological systems, whichever field of interest - commercial, government, academic, or pure research - they may be involved with.The Journal is an international, refereed journal which aims to publish high-quality research papers, reviews, short communications and letters to the Editor, devoted to all aspects of lubricants and their additives, including synthetic and biodegradable lubricants. The scope includes reporting on the synthesis and/or development of lubricants, their test results compared to results for other lubricants and comparative performance test results in components or equipment.The papers on synthetic lubricants focused on synthetic or biodegradable lubricants and not merely a synthetic additive in a non-synthetic base oil, will be published in the section “Synthetic Lubrication”.TriboTest is a section within the journal which aims to publish high quality papers devoted to all aspects of advancing tribological testing. Reporting of improved techniques for testing, test results evaluation and modelling and simulation techniques that support tribotesting are encouraged. Critical assessments of the effects of test environment, test rig dynamics, accelerated test parameters, and similar, are also of great value.The tribological tests may range from full scale field testing down to lab testing in the nano-scale with objectives ranging from investigating the whole tribological system, down to investigating the influence of a surface treatment, a coating, or the performance of a lubricant additive in the tribological contact. Test evaluation techniques may include microscopy, topographical evaluation, and chemical analysis. This section invites papers on comparative studies of laboratory tests and field tests with respect to mechanisms, performance and ranking, lab test procedures capable of minimising the dependence on full scale field testing, test procedures capable of generating new fundamental understanding of friction and wear processes, at the nano, macro and micro scales, the design, selection and critical evaluation of tribological tests, diagnostic methods and condition monitoring measurement and characterisation of lubrication films, tribofilms and third bodies.
