Journal Guide

The Journal of Interprofessional Care aims to disseminate research and new developments in the field of interprofessional education and practice. We welcome contributions containing an explicit interprofessional focus, and involving a range of settings, professions, and fields. Areas of practice covered include primary, community and hospital care, health education and public health, and beyond health and social care into fields such as criminal justice and primary/elementary education. Papers introducing additional interprofessional views, for example, from a community development or environmental design perspective, are welcome. The Journal is disseminated internationally and encourages submissions from around the world. The Journal of Interprofessional Care publishes the following types of articles:Peer-reviewed original research articles, systematic/analytical reviews and theoretical papers that focus on an element of interprofessional education or practice. Peer-reviewed short reports that describe research in progress or completed, or an innovation in the field of interprofessional care. In addition, each issue of the Journal contains editorials (usually invited, but unsolicited editorials will be considered) and book reviews.

The Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology is an international publication devoted to fostering research in and development of interventional techniques and therapies for the management of cardiac arrhythmias. It is designed primarily to present original research studies and scholarly scientific reviews of basic and applied science and clinical research in this field. The Journal will adopt a multidisciplinary approach to link physical, experimental, and clinical sciences as applied to the development of and practice in interventional electrophysiology. The Journal will examine techniques ranging from molecular, chemical and pharmacologic therapies to device and ablation technology. Accordingly, original research in clinical, epidemiologic and basic science arenas will be considered for publication. Applied engineering or physical science studies pertaining to interventional electrophysiology will be encouraged. The Journal of Interventional Cardiology (JIC) is widely regarded as a must-read for the interventional cardiologist determined to stay current in diagnosing, investigating, and managing patients with cardiovascular disease. JIC publishes the most reliable and authoritative papers from the wealth of information that becomes available as new procedures and techniques develop.All material is peer-reviewed under the editorial direction of Cindy L Grines, MD and a prominent international editorial board. Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) publishes papers describing original research on all aspects of cutaneous biology and skin disease. Topics include biochemistry, biophysics, carcinogenesis, cell regulation, development, skin structure, extracellular matrix, genetics, immunology, melanocyte biology, microbiology, molecular and cell biology, pathology, physiology, pharmacology, photobiology, percutaneous absorption, clinical research, epidemiology and other population-based research. Original Articles, Communications, Review Articles, and Letters to the Editor are standard features. Perspectives and Commentaries are invited by the Editorial Board.

Journal of Investigative Dermatology Symposium Proceedings (JIDSP) publishes peer-reviewed, invited papers relevant to all aspects of cutaneous biology and skin disease. These papers have often been initially presented at a scientific meeting. Recent JIDSP issues were generated from scientific meetings devoted to research in specific topic areas, including "Keratinocyte and Melanocyte Cancers of Skin: Interacting Pathways" (53rd Montagna Symposium on the Biology of Skin); "First International Pachyonychia Congenita Symposium"; "Stem Cells in Skin" (52nd Montagna Symposium on the Biology of Skin); and "The Burden of Skin Disease". Potential topics include biochemistry, biophysics, carcinogenesis, cellular growth and regulation, clinical research, development, epidemiology and other population-based research, extracellular matrix, genetics, immunology, melanocyte biology, microbiology, molecular and cell biology, pathology, pharmacology and percutaneous absorption, photobiology, physiology, and skin structure.

The Journal of Investigative Medicine is the official journal of the American Federation for Medical Research (AFMR), an international multidisciplinary association of scientists engaged in all areas of biomedical investigation: patient-oriented, translational, and basic research. Published eight issues per year, the Journal is a major platform for physician-scientists, those with a clinical/translational focus, and those with a basic science focus. The Journal of Investigative Medicine offers original, peer-reviewed investigations and articles detailing the latest developments in interdisciplinary medical research. The Journal also includes information about changes affecting the biomedical research community; interviews with prominent members of the scientific community; news on Federal regulatory changes; and professional recruitment and research funding guides. The journal's publisher is the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences.The Journal aims at publishing evidence-based, scientifically written articles from different disciplines of medical sciences. The Journal welcomes articles of general interest to audiences of medical researchers especially when they contain new information. Articles of clinical evaluation of drugs and other therapies, epidemiologic studies in general population, studies on pathogenic organisms and toxic materials, toxicities and adverse effects of therapeutics are welcome.When written in language other than English and has not been propagated in any international information services (abstract journals), secondary publication of the article is negotiable.
